# Update a contact detail of a lead

**PUT /api/v1/leads/{lead_uuid}/contact-details/{uuid}**

`primary: true` makes the contact detail the lead's primary of its type; `primary: false` clears it when it is the primary.

### Path parameters

- **lead_uuid** (string)
  The UUID of the lead.

- **uuid** (string)
  The UUID of the contact detail.



### Body: application/json (object)

- **name** (string)
  Description of the contact detail.

- **value** (string)
  Value of the contact detail, validated against its existing type. A phone number is re-parsed and stored in E.164 format.

- **primary** (boolean)
  True makes this the lead's primary contact detail of its type. False clears the primary when this contact detail is the primary.
