# Remove a contact detail from a lead

**DELETE /api/v1/leads/{lead_uuid}/contact-details/{uuid}**

Detaches the contact detail from the lead and soft deletes it only when no other lead or account is linked to it.
Removing the primary of a type promotes the oldest remaining contact detail of that type. A lead must keep at
least one email address or phone number.

  The UUID of the lead.

- **uuid** (string)
  The UUID of the contact detail.
